Breaking addiction through the power of God through prayers and fasting of mentors dedicated to helping others has resulted in transformed many lives. This program is directed by Michael Kozuchar.

VYHODA NEW LIFE CENTER

Since 2005, SMU has partnered with Victory Church in Zhytomyr in providing buildings and property for the rehabilitation of drug and alcohol addicts. SMU has provided funds for maintenance and improvements like the upgraded kitchen, a barn, new well, and a greenhouse. SMU has also invested heavily in trying to help the center become self-sustaining by equipping a welding shop, building a barn and underwriting a farming enterprise with calves, chicken and eggs, and, currently, a chicken and turkey project.

ZHYTOMYR HOMELESS CENTER

SMU helps support the Zhitomyr Homeless Center founded and run by Vlad Palamarchuk. In response to his courage and compassion, the city gave him a building, free of charge, to open a homeless shelter, The homeless now have a place where they can overnight, wash themselves, have a bowl of soup and can gain access to medical treatment.

ZHYTOMYR FEEDING PROGRAM

Twice a week, in partnership with Victory Church in Zhitomyr, SMU helps feed people on the street, sharing soup and bread. The food is first blessed and then, during the meal, volunteers talk with the people and pray for them.
